The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Kaiwi Channel...
  Oahu Windward Waters...

* Until 415 AM HST.

* At 219 AM HST, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
  waterspouts were located along a line extending from 7 nm east of
  Mokulua Islands to 13 nm east of FAD Buoy MM. The severe
  thunderstorms were nearly stationary.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Laie Point, FAD Buoy U, FAD Buoy T, FAD Buoy LL, FAD Buoy MM, FAD
  Buoy X, and Kahuku Point.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare for gusty winds, steep and fast-building seas, and blinding
downpours. Stay low or go below, and make sure all on board are
wearing life jackets.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
