...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 AM CDT...

For the following areas...
Coastal waters from Intracoastal City to Cameron LA out 20 NM...
Coastal waters from Lower Atchafalaya River to Intracoastal City LA
out 20 NM...

At 201 AM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Vermilion 26,
or 18 nm southeast of White Lake, moving northeast at 50 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
South Marsh Island 217, Vermilion 24, Vermilion 67, Vermilion 31,
Vermilion 26, and Vermilion 51.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
