SOUTHWESTERN BEAUREGARD AND WESTERN CALCASIEU PARISHES...SOUTHWESTERN
NEWTON...ORANGE AND SOUTHEASTERN JASPER COUNTIES THROUGH 930 AM
CDT...

At 830 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Gist, or near Mauriceville, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Beaumont, Orange, Vidor, Bridge City, West Orange, Vinton,
Deweyville, Starks, Mauriceville, De Quincy, Rose City, Pine Forest,
Gist, Pinehurst, Lunita, Buhler, Hartburg, Forest Heights, Toomey,
and Orangefield.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 10 in Texas between mile markers 880 and 853.
 Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 1 and 17.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
