Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario

For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 30.2 inch area of high pressure centered over
Hudson Bay will push a frontal boundary...stalled in the vicinity
of the lake this evening...south to near Pennsylvania overnight.
The front will then become stalled once again Wednesday and
Wednesday night to the south of the lake. The area of high
pressure will cross Quebec Thursday and Thursday night then will
drift across the Canadian maritimes on Friday. An upper level
disturbance will cross the lake Friday night and early Saturday.
A large disorganized storm system over the Upper Ohio valley
Saturday night will pass well to the south of the lake on Sunday.

1 foot or less.
.WEDNESDAY...Northeast winds 10 to 15 knots becoming east. A
chance of showers in the afternoon. Waves 2 feet or less.
.WEDNESDAY NIGHT...East winds 10 to 15 knots becoming northeast.
A chance of showers in the evening. Waves 1 to 2 feet.
.THURSDAY...Northeast winds 5 to 10 knots becoming east. Waves
1 foot or less.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...East winds 5 to 10 knots. Waves 1 foot or less.
.FRIDAY...East winds 10 to 15 knots becoming southeast. A chance
of showers during the day, then showers likely Friday night.
