452 FZUS61 KBUF 142045 GLFLO Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario National Weather Service Buffalo NY 445 PM EDT Tue May 14 2024 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A 30.2 inch area of high pressure centered over Hudson Bay will push a frontal boundary...stalled in the vicinity of the lake this evening...south to near Pennsylvania overnight. The front will then become stalled once again Wednesday and Wednesday night to the south of the lake. The area of high pressure will cross Quebec Thursday and Thursday night then will drift across the Canadian maritimes on Friday. An upper level disturbance will cross the lake Friday night and early Saturday. A large disorganized storm system over the Upper Ohio valley Saturday night will pass well to the south of the lake on Sunday.
