Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern/Central MO and Southwest IL
National Weather Service Saint Louis MO
315 AM CDT Wed Mar 27 2024

.DISCUSSION...

The sun returns today with lighter winds and temperatures warming
into the 50s. Thursday will be the rebound day with temperatures
warming into the 60s on southwesterly winds. Humidity remains low
as moisture return is lacking, but winds are currently expected to
remain below critical thresholds. Winds increase out of the SSW on
Friday but there should be better moisture return by then as well.
A cold front drops in from the north Friday night and stalls
across the region this weekend. South of the front it stays warm
while it will be significantly cooler north of the front. The next
chance for widespread rainfall comes late Sunday into Monday.
