966 FNUS56 KMFR 111351 FWFMFR Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California National Weather Service Medford, OR 651 AM PDT Sat May 11 2024 .DISCUSSION...A summer like pattern will maintain dry and warm conditions this weekend into early next week. The thermal trough has moved inland and this will bring cooler temperatures and higher humidities to coastal locations today. Expect the return of the marine layer this afternoon. Summer like humidities are expected elsewhere and temperatures will peak west of the Cascades today, then East of the Cascades on Sunday. A weak disturbance will bring a slight chance of late afternoon and early evening thunderstorms over portions of Siskiyou, Modoc, Klamath and Lake Counties. Temperatures will trend lower for early next week, though remain above normal. Dry conditions and warmer temperatures are expected for the latter half of next week.
