...NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS TODAY FOR PORTIONS OF
CENTRAL, SOUTHERN, AND EASTERN MINNESOTA THIS AFTERNOON INTO
EARLY EVENING...

Warm, dry, and breezy conditions will lead to near critical fire
weather conditions today. Southerly winds of 10 to 15 MPH gusting
to 25 MPH are expected this afternoon. In conjunction with minimum
relative humidity values near 25 percent and warm maximum
temperatures (70s), this will lead to an elevated risk for rapid
spreading of fires.

For more information on burning restrictions for Minnesota, see
www.dnr.state.mn.us/forestry/fire/firerating_restrictions.html.
