...Heavy Rainfall May Lead to Flooding Later this Week...
Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms will move across the
Missouri Ozarks and far southeastern Kansas from Thursday through
early Saturday with the heaviest rainfall occurring Friday
afternoon and evening. Generally, one to three inches of rainfall
is expected with locally higher amounts possible.
The heaviest rainfall is expected to occur generally north of the
highway 60 corridor with the best concentration of thunderstorms
likely along and north of a line from Columbus, to Bolivar, to
Rolla. Lesser amounts can be expected across portions of south
Flooding of small creeks, streams, and rivers may occur Thursday
and especially Friday if heavy rainfall materializes.
