...EXCESSIVE RAINFALL POSSIBLE TONIGHT...

.NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP THIS EVENING AND
CONTINUE THROUGH THE NIGHT.

THERE ARE SOME INDICATIONS THAT A CLUSTER OF TRAINING
THUNDERSTORMS WILL ASSUME A POSITION ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST
KANSAS AND THE MISSOURI OZARKS. SPECIFICALLY AREAS TO THE NORTH OF
INTERSTATE 44...WILL EXPERIENCE A HIGHER RISK FOR THESE TRAINING
STORMS.

ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED THROUGHOUT THE DAY ON
THURSDAY. THIS WILL CREATE ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OVER AREAS THAT
RECEIVES EXCESSIVE RAIN TONIGHT.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS WITHIN THE WATCH AREA COULD RANGE FROM ONE TO
FIVE INCHES THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING.

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND
  MISSOURI...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN SOUTHEAST
  KANSAS...BOURBON...CHEROKEE AND CRAWFORD. IN MISSOURI...
  BARTON...BENTON...CAMDEN...CEDAR...DADE...DALLAS...HICKORY...
  JASPER...LACLEDE...MARIES...MILLER...MORGAN...PHELPS...POLK...
  PULASKI...ST. CLAIR AND VERNON.

* FROM 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING

* ONE TO FIVE INCHES OF RAIN ARE FORECASTED WITHIN THE FLASH FLOOD
  WATCH AREA. THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING EXCESSIVE
  RAINFALL ARE EXPECTED TO TRAIN ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST
  KANSAS AND THE MISSOURI OZARKS TONIGHT...WITH ADDITIONAL STORMS
  EXPECTED DURING THE DAY THURSDAY.

* FLASH FLOODING RISKS ARE INCREASING OVER PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST
  KANSAS AND THE MISSOURI OZARKS FOR TONIGHT AND THROUGH THURSDAY.
  FLOODING IN THIS REGION TYPICALLY CONSISTS OF SMALL STREAMS AND
  CREEKS FLOODING LOW LYING AREAS...INCLUDING LOW WATER CROSSING
  AND ACTUAL ROADWAYS.

ANYONE THAT HAVE INTERESTS WITHIN THE OSAGE...LITTLE
OSAGE...SAC...MARMATON...POMME DE TERRE...AND NIANGUA RIVER
BASINS...SHOULD MONITOR FUTURE WARNINGS AND STATEMENTS TONIGHT AND
THURSDAY...DUE TO EXCESSIVE RAINFALL.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
