.A SLOW MOVING STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING SEVERAL ROUNDS OF MODERATE
TO HEAVY RAINFALL THROUGH MONDAY MORNING. THE MOST WIDESPREAD AND
HEAVIEST RAINFALL WILL FALL FROM TODAY THROUGH TONIGHT OVER
SOUTHEAST KANSAS INTO WESTERN MISSOURI. RAINFALL MAY LINGER TO THE
SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 44 INTO MEMORIAL DAY. THOSE WITH RECREATIONAL
PLANS ALONG AREA RIVERS THIS HOLIDAY WEEKEND SHOULD CLOSELY
MONITOR RIVER LEVELS.

THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND MISSOURI...INCLUDING THE
  FOLLOWING AREAS...IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS...BOURBON...CHEROKEE
  AND CRAWFORD. IN MISSOURI...BARTON...BENTON...CEDAR...DADE...
  HICKORY...MORGAN...POLK...ST. CLAIR AND VERNON.

* THROUGH MONDAY MORNING

* MULTIPLE ROUNDS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT
  SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND SOUTHWEST MISSOURI THIS WEEKEND. MODERATE
  TO OCCASIONALLY HEAVY RAIN WILL CONTINUE TODAY OVER SOUTHEAST
  KANSAS AND FAR WESTERN MISSOURI WITH A SLOW EASTWARD SPREAD
  TOWARD THE HIGHWAY 65 CORRIDOR THROUGH TONIGHT. THE HEAVIEST
  RAINFALL WILL OCCUR ALONG AND WEST OF INTERSTATE 49 THROUGH
  SUNDAY NIGHT. TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE AND A HALF TO THREE
  INCHES ARE EXPECTED THROUGH TONIGHT.

* THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL MAY RESULT IN FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
  STREAMS AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS AS WELL AS SIGNIFICANT RISES
  AND FLOODING OF SOME MAIN STEM RIVERS.

THE OSAGE...LITTLE OSAGE...MARMATON AND SPRING RIVER BASINS ALONG
WITH LIGHTNING CREEK WILL BE IMPACTED AND COULD EXPERIENCE
FLOODING.

THOSE WITH OUTDOOR RECREATIONAL PLANS OVER SOUTHEAST KANSAS INTO
WESTERN MISSOURI THIS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND INCLUDING CAMPING AND
FLOATING ALONG AREA RIVERS AND STREAMS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR RISING
WATER LEVELS.
