...A FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 AM CDT FOR
BOURBON...CRAWFORD...NORTHWESTERN JASPER...SOUTHWESTERN VERNON AND
WESTERN BARTON COUNTIES...

AT 251 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED SLOW
MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE WARNED AREA.
RADAR RAINFALL ESTIMATES BETWEEN 1 AND 3 INCHES HAVE FALLEN ACROSS
THE WARNED AREA. ADDITIONAL STORMS WILL MOVE ACROSS THE WARNED AREA
AND PRODUCE AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN THIS MORNING.

RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO
OCCUR. LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE...ALBA...ARCADIA...ARMA...
BRONSON...ENGLEVALE...FORT SCOTT...FRONTENAC...GIRARD...HEPLER...
LIBERAL...MINDENMINES...MULBERRY...PITTSBURG...PRAIRIE STATE PARK...
PURCELL...REDFIELD...UNIONTOWN AND VERDELLA. CREEKS...STREAMS AND LOW
WATER CROSSINGS WILL BE ESPECIALLY SUSCEPTIBLE TO THE DANGERS OF
FLASH FLOODING.

CROSSINGS...

ROUTE K AT DRY WOOD CREEK EAST OF ARCADIA...
HIGHWAY 126 AT THE SPRING RIVER 3 MILES NORTH OF JASPER...
ROUTE O AT THE SPRING RIVER JUST SOUTH OF ALBA...
ROUTE H AT THE SPRING RIVER JUST WEST OF JASPER...
ROUTE D AT THE SPRING RIVER JUST SOUTHWEST OF PURCELL.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. DO
NOT ENTER THE WATER. TURN AROUND AND MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO
ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN
WATER BEGINS RISING.
