 ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
sotuhwest Missouri and southeast Kansas...

  Elk River near Tiff City affecting McDonald County
  Little Osage River at Fulton affecting Bourbon County
  Little Osage River near Horton affecting Vernon County
  Marmaton River at Fort Scott affecting Bourbon County
  Marmaton River near Nevada affecting Vernon County
  Osage River near Schell City affecting Bates and Vernon Counties
  Sac River near Caplinger Mills affecting Cedar County
  Spring River above Baxter Springs affecting Cherokee County
  Spring River at Carthage affecting Jasper County
  Spring River near Waco affecting Jasper County

.Heavy rainfall across the region has led to significant river rises.
Details on each river forecast location are included below.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive through flowing water. Nearly half of all flood
fatalities are vehicle related. As little as 6 inches of water may
cause you to lose control of your vehicle. Two feet of water will
carry most vehicles away.

...For the The Little Osage River at Fulton...
* At  5:30 PM Sunday The stage was 25.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 25.5 feet by this
  evening.  The river will fall below flood stage tomorrow early
  afternoon.
* Impact...At 25.0 feet...Moderate flooding begins at the gage site.
  Farmland at the gage site becomes covered by flood waters, and
  Highway 31, east of town becomes flooded. Highway 31, four miles
  west of Fulton has flood waters reach four to six feet in depth.

* Flood stage is 41.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 45.5 feet by
  Wednesday morning.  The river will fall below flood stage Thursday
  morning.
* Impact...At 45.0 feet...Moderate flooding begins at the gage site.

* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 27.2 feet by
  tomorrow morning.  The river will fall below flood stage Thursday
  evening.
* Impact...At 28.0 feet...Flood waters impact Highway 54, along Route
  H and Route T west and north of Deerfield, or west of Nevada.

* At  5:31 PM Sunday The stage was 37.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 38.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...rise above flood stage by tonight and continue to rise
  to near 38.5 feet by around midnight.  The river will fall below
  flood stage by tomorrow morning.
* Impact...At 38.0 feet...Flood Stage. Minor flooding begins along
  Mill Creek north of town due to backwater effects of the Marmaton
  River. Flood waters also begin to spill across the field by the Red
  Barn Restaurant, on the north side of town, at the new Highway 69
  Bridge.

* At  5:45 PM Sunday The stage was 10.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...rise above flood stage by tomorrow morning and continue
  to rise to near 21.0 feet by tomorrow evening.  The river will fall
  below flood stage by Tuesday afternoon.
* Impact...At 20.0 feet...Flood waters affect low lying areas near the
  river including farmland along Highway N and between Highway W and
  Caplinger Mills. Cedar Creek...a tributary of the Sac River
  backwaters and floods portions of Highway 39 and south of Cedar
  Springs.

* Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 33.6 feet by
  Friday morning then begin falling.
* Impact...At 33.0 feet...Flood waters impact B Highway 2.5 miles east
  of Rich Hill in the vicinity of the Bates County Drainage Ditch.
