Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Kansas and Southwest and Central Missouri
National Weather Service Springfield MO
109 PM CST Sat Dec 9 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Gusty northwesterly winds will continue into the afternoon hours.

Southwest winds will return Sunday, bringing a warm up as
highs top out in the 50s Sunday and Monday. Another front
will then move across the region Monday which will switch
winds back to the northwest. Winds will remain gusty both
ahead of and behind the cold front. Afternoon RH values
will drop to around 30 to 40% on Sunday, then to 25 to 35%
on Monday afternoon. This will lead to some elevated fire
weather risks daily, with Monday being the most widespread day where
conditions may approach Red Flag Warning criteria.

No precipitation is expected the next 7 days.
