FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHERN/CENTRAL MO AND SE KS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO
233 PM CST TUE DEC 16 2014

.DISCUSSION...

SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE WILL SHIFT EASTWARD INTO THE AREA OVERNIGHT
TONIGHT. AS THIS OCCURS THE CLOUDS WILL DIMINISH FROM WEST TO EAST
WITH DRY CONDITIONS THROUGH MUCH OF WEDNESDAY. THE NEXT WEATHER
SYSTEM WILL ARRIVE LATER WEDNESDAY BRINGING A LIGHT WINTRY MIX TO
THE DISTRICTS FROM WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY WITH PERHAPS AN
INCH OR 2 OF SNOW. THE UNSETTLED WEATHER PATTERN WILL CONTINUE ON
FRIDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT AS YET ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM AFFECTS THE
AREA. THE BULK OF THE PRECIPITATION WILL FALL TO THE SOUTH OF THE
SOUTH OF THE AREA...BUT A LIGHT MIX OF WINTRY PRECIPITATION WILL
STILL BE POSSIBLE.
