Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Kansas and Southwest and Central Missouri
National Weather Service Springfield MO
323 AM CST Thu Jan 18 2018

.DISCUSSION...

High pressure to our south will produce a moderately
gusty southwest wind today with a warming trend. The warming
trend will continue into Friday with south winds.
Deepening low pressure and a sfc front will pass through
late Sunday and Sunday night. Moisture will spread northward
ahead of the front with increasing cloud cover over the
weekend and a good chance for rain Sunday and Sunday night.
Clouds will linger Monday before Pacific based high pressure
moves in with seasonable temperatures.
