FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHERN/CENTRAL MO AND SE KS...UPDATED
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO
1002 AM CDT SAT OCT 18 2014

.DISCUSSION...

MORNING UPDATE...

NO MAJOR CHANGES WERE NEEDED TO THE FORECAST FOR THIS AFTERNOON.
SUNNY SKIES WITH HIGHS IN THE LOW TO MID 60S WITH MINIMUM
HUMIDITIES IN THE 45 TO 55 PERCENT RANGE. WINDS WILL BE LIGHT
OUT OF THE NORTH TODAY.

PREVIOUS DISCUSSION...

PLENTY OF FAIR WEATHER IS FORECASTED OVER EXTREME SOUTHEAST
KANSAS AND THE MISSOURI OZARKS THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS.

UPPER LEVEL RIDGING WILL BUILD INTO THE REGION...BRINGING
WARM TEMPERATURES AND PLENTY OF SUNSHINE.

THE ONLY CHANCES FOR RAIN THIS WEEK WILL OCCUR MONDAY AS A
FRONTAL SYSTEM SURGES ACROSS THE REGION. MOST LOCATIONS
WILL STAY DRY MONDAY AS RAINFALL WILL BE ISOLATED IN NATURE.

ANYONE PLANNING PRESCRIBED BURNS WILL NEED TO MONITOR
SEVERAL WIND SHIFT CHANGES. OTHERWISE HUMIDITY LEVELS LOOK
TO REMAIN LOW THROUGH NEXT WEEK.
