Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR Missouri
National Weather Service Springfield MO
233 PM CST Wed Mar 1 2017

.DISCUSSION...

A cooler/drier air mass will be in place over the region through
Thursday. Winds will be light early in the morning but may increase
into the 20-30mph range during the afternoon as a weak front moves
through the region. Relative humidity values will drop down into the
20% range especially in the afternoon. across western and central
Missouri. This will lead to elevated fire weather concerns and will be
monitoring the need for a fire weather headline for Thursday.

High pressure will slowly slide through the region and push east of
the Missouri Ozarks by Friday afternoon. This will cause surface
winds to shift to a more southerly direction with a gradual
increase in temperatures and moisture. Before moisture increases,
there will be a limited to elevated fire weather threat through
Saturday.

Rain chances increase by late in the weekend and then again early
next week as a another storm system moves closer to our area from
the west.
