Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Kansas and Southwest and Central Missouri
National Weather Service Springfield MO
231 PM CST Tue Jan 23 2018

.DISCUSSION...

Mild conditions are expected the rest of the week as a ridge of
high pressure builds over the nation`s midsection.

By Thursday, the combination of gusty southwest winds and a dry
airmass could lead to a heightened fire danger.

Our next chances for precipitation will occur this weekend as a
strong cold front approaches from the northwest.
