Red Flag Warning in effect for parts of the area.

Heightened fire danger today with increasing and gusty south
winds and low humidity.

Dry conditions are expected through the week.  Elevated to
significant fire weather conditions are expected today across
the area and may approach red flag conditions in some areas
of western Missouri and extreme southeast Kansas where wind
gusts up to 35 mph will be possible during the afternoon.
