FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHERN/CENTRAL MO AND SE KS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO
218 AM CDT SAT SEP 13 2014

.DISCUSSION...

AN AUTUMN LIKE AIRMASS WAS POSITIONED OVER EXTREME SOUTHEAST
KANSAS AND THE MISSOURI OZARKS. TEMPERATURES FELL INTO THE
40S THIS MORNING...UNDER MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES AND NORTHERLY
BREEZES.

NO PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED THROUGH THE REST OF THE WEEKEND
AS TEMPERATURES REMAIN COOL. HIGHS TODAY WILL ONLY WARM INTO
THE 60S...WITH TEMPERATURES ON SUNDAY IN THE 70S. A RETURN
OF SOUTH WINDS WILL BRING THE WARMER TEMPS FOR SUNDAY.

WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED MONDAY AND
MONDAY NIGHT...IN RESPONSE TO AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE THAT
APPROACHES FROM THE WEST.
