FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHERN/CENTRAL MO AND SE KS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO
953 PM CST TUE JAN 27 2015

.DISCUSSION...
INCREASING WIND AND UNSEASONABLY WARM WEATHER CAN BE EXPECTED
WEDNESDAY WITH AN ELEVATED RISK FOR FAST GROWING FIRES OVER
SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND MUCH OF WEST CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST MISSOURI.
HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE AREA WILL QUICKLY SHIFT OFF TO THE EAST AS
A COLD FRONT APPROACHES FROM THE WEST. SOUTH WINDS WILL INCREASE
WEDNESDAY MORNING AND REMAIN GUSTY THROUGH THE DAY.

THE FRONT WILL PASS THROUGH THE AREA WEDNESDAY NIGHT...BUT LITTLE
IF ANY RAIN IS EXPECTED. MODERATELY GUSTY NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS
CAN BE EXPECTED BEHIND THE FRONT THURSDAY BEFORE DIMINISHING LATE
IN THE DAY. HIGH PRESSURE WILL MOVE THROUGH THE REGION FRIDAY.
PRECIPITATION CHANCES WILL INCREASE OVER THE WEEKEND AHEAD OF
ANOTHER COLD FRONT.
