Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Kansas and Southwest and Central Missouri
National Weather Service Springfield MO
237 AM CST Fri Nov 17 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Drizzle or a few light showers will be possible today. Surface
winds will increase and become brisk out of the south to southeast
tonight and Friday.

A cold front will then bring a chance for showers and a few
thunderstorms to the region from later tonight into Saturday
morning. Strong and gusty northwest winds will develop behind the
front for Saturday as a much drier air mass filters into the
region. This will lead to elevated fire weather conditions
Saturday afternoon, especially over areas that do not receive
a wetting rain.
