Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR Missouri
National Weather Service Springfield MO
1029 AM CST Thu Feb 16 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Brisk and gusty southwest winds will develop today with gusts
around 30 mph expected this afternoon. Temperatures will warm into
the middle to upper 60s this afternoon with a very dry air mass
remaining in place. This will result in afternoon humidities
falling into the 20 to 25% range with isolated locations
potentially falling below 20%. Thus, critical fire weather
conditions are expected for all fire weather zones with the
exception of far southern Missouri.

Elevated fire weather conditions will persist on Friday as winds
remain brisk out of the southwest and temperatures warm to around
70 degrees. Some locations may approach critical fire weather
conditions Friday afternoon if dew points are lower than currently
expected.
