.DISCUSSION...

SHOWER ACTIVITY OVER EASTERN KANSAS AND WESTERN MISSOURI WILL CONTINUE
TO SPREAD EAST SOUTHEAST THIS EVENING. THE 00Z SOUNDING CONTINUES TO
INDICATE DRY AIR ALOFT WHICH WILL INITIALLY INHIBIT RAIN FROM REACHING
THE GROUND. THE BULK OF THE RAINFALL IS EXPECTED TO SLIDE/DEVELOP
TOWARDS MO/AR STATE LINE AND REMAIN SOUTH OF THE SPRINGFIELD METRO AREA.
HOWEVER, A FEW SPRINKLES OR SHORT PERIODS OF LIGHT SHOWERS WILL REMAIN
POSSIBLE THROUGH THE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT.

NO CONVECTION NEAR THE EVENT SITE IS EXPECTED WITH AND POTENTIAL STORM
ACTIVITY EXPECTED TO REMAIN CLOSER TO THE STATE LINE.
