THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  LIMITED HAIL RISK.
  LIMITED THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE RISK.
  LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.
  ELEVATED EXCESSIVE HEAT RISK.

DISCUSSION...

  HEAT INDICES RANGING THROUGH THE 90S AND INTO THE 100S WILL
  CONTINUE LATE THIS AFTERNOON.

  SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL PERSIST ACROSS THE REGION THIS
  AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING. A FEW OF THE STRONGER STORMS COULD
  PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. SMALL HAIL CAN
  NOT BE RULED OUT WITH THESE STRONGER STORMS AS WELL.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

  HEAT INDEX VALUES IN THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 90S ARE EXPECTED ON
  THURSDAY.

  SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED THROUGH THE LABOR DAY
  WEEKEND...INCLUDING FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY. THESE STORMS
  WILL BE MORE SCATTERED...AND HIT AND MISS IN NATURE. THEREFORE
  WE ARE NOT FORECASTING A COMPLETE WASH OUT OVER THE LABOR DAY
  WEEKEND.

  BOATERS...FLOATERS...CAMPERS...AND ANYONE PARTICIPATING IN
  OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES THROUGH THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND...SHOULD REMAIN
  ABREAST FOR THE RISK OF THUNDERSTORMS. AT THIS TIME IT APPEARS
  AS THOUGH FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING WILL BE THE PRIMARY
  RISK

  THUNDERSTORMS WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE ON TUESDAY.
