THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  ELEVATED ICE ACCUMULATION RISK.
  LIMITED SNOW AND OR SLEET RISK.

DISCUSSION...

  PRECIPITATION WILL DEVELOP THIS EVENING INTO TONIGHT...AND
  TRANSITION FROM RAIN TO FREEZING RAIN AND THEN TO SLEET AND SNOW
  LATE TONIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING AS COLD AIR MOVES IN BEHIND
  A COLD FRONT. LIGHT SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS...ALONG WITH A
  GLAZE TO FIVE HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH OF ICE...WILL BE POSSIBLE BY
  DAYBREAK WEDNESDAY...THOUGH THE BULK OF THE ACCUMULATIONS ARE
  EXPECTED TO OCCUR DURING THE DAY ON WEDNESDAY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

  THE TRANSITION FROM A WINTRY MIX OF SLEET...SNOW...AND FREEZING
  RAIN WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE MORNING WEDNESDAY...WITH ALL SNOW
  EXPECTED BY MID DAY ACROSS THE OUTLOOK AREA. SNOW COULD BE HEAVY
  AT TIMES ON WEDNESDAY...ESPECIALLY OVER SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI.
  PLEASE SEE THE LATEST WINTER STORM WARNING AND WINTER WEATHER
  ADVISORY FOR THE MOST UP TO DATE ACCUMULATION FORECASTS.

  IN ADDITION TO THE WINTRY PRECIPITATION...VERY COLD TEMPERATURES
  ARE EXPECTED BOTH WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY NIGHT AS LOWS
  OVER THE SNOWPACK WILL DIP INTO THE SINGLE DIGITS WITH WIND
  CHILLS IN THE SINGLE DIGITS BELOW ZERO.
