THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.
  LIMITED EXCESSIVE HEAT RISK.
  LIMITED NON THUNDERSTORM WIND RISK.

DISCUSSION...

  HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL RANGE FROM 96 TO 103 DEGREES THIS
  AFTERNOON.

  ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE ACROSS THE MISSOURI
  OZARKS INTO EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS THIS AFTERNOON. A BRIEF
  HEAVY DOWNPOUR AND OCCASIONAL CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING WILL BE
  POSSIBLE WITH THESE SMALL ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

  SUSTAINED SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 15 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS
  UP TO 30 MPH WILL OCCUR ACROSS PORTIONS OF WESTERN MISSOURI AND
  EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS THIS AFTERNOON.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

  BRISK AND GUSTY SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WINDS ARE AGAIN EXPECTED
  ON THURSDAY AND POSSIBLY ON FRIDAY ACROSS WESTERN MISSOURI
  AND EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS.

  HOT AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE THROUGH AT LEAST
  THIS WEEKEND AND POSSIBLY INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. AFTERNOON
  HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 90S ARE EXPECTED
  WITH HEAT INDICES RANGING FROM 96 TO 105 DEGREES.

  A FRONTAL BOUNDARY MAY THEN MOVE SOUTH INTO THE REGION EARLY
  NEXT WEEK. THIS FRONT MAY BRING SLIGHTLY COOLER TEMPERATURES
  ALONG WITH A CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS.
