THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  ELEVATED HAIL RISK.
  ELEVATED THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE RISK.
  LIMITED FLOODING RISK.
  ELEVATED LIGHTNING RISK.

DISCUSSION...

THUNDERSTORMS OVER SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE
EAST SOUTHEAST THROUGH THE EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS. AN ISOLATED
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IS POSSIBLE WITH THIS ACTIVITY WITH LARGE
HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS BEING THE MAIN THREAT.

ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING ACROSS MAINLY SOUTHWEST MISSOURI AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST
KANSAS AND THEN PUSHING NORTHEAST ACROSS THE REST OF THE AREA
DURING THE LATE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT HOURS. SOME STORMS WILL BE
CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL UP TO GOLF BALL SIZE AND DAMAGING
  WINDS TO 60 MPH.

A LIMITED FLOODING THREAT WILL EXIST PRIMARILY IF THUNDERSTORMS
ARE ABLE TO MOVE ACROSS THE SAME AREAS THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

MULTIPLE ROUNDS OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO IMPACT THE
REGION THROUGH THIS WEEKEND. THERE WILL BE BREAKS AND DRY PERIODS
  BETWEEN THE ROUNDS.

ALONG WITH FREQUENT LIGHTNING...LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS
APPEAR TO BE THE PRIMARY SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FROM THE
  STRONGEST STORMS.

HEAVY RAINFALL OVER THE SAME AREAS COULD RESULT IN LOCALIZED
  FLOODING CONCERNS.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED IN THE NEXT SIX HOURS FOR
LOCATIONS ALONG AND SOUTH OF A PITTSBURG KANSAS TO SALEM MISSOURI
  LINE.
