This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited hail risk.
  Limited thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Limited lightning risk.
  Limited excessive rainfall risk

DISCUSSION...

There is a 20 to 30 percent chance of a thunderstorm this morning
and again this afternoon across the area. Lightning, brief gusty
winds and heavy rainfall are the main risks.

Thunderstorms will likely form across Kansas and Oklahoma this
evening. There is a 20 to 30 percent chance that they approach far
southeast Kansas and western Missouri tonight. Lightning, wind
gusts up to 50 mph and heavy rainfall are the main risks if these
storms move in.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Additional showers and thunderstorms will develop on Thursday. If
enough instability develops then a few storms could produce gusty
winds and small hail however the severe weather threat is
marginal. Heavy rainfall on saturated soils may lead to flooding
Thursday afternoon and evening.

Additional chances for showers and thunderstorms exists this
weekend with the highest chances Saturday. A stronger storm system
looks to approach the region by Monday or Tuesday of next week
with additional thunderstorm chances.
