THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.
  LIMITED NON THUNDERSTORM WIND RISK.

DISCUSSION...

  SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL BECOME INCREASINGLY GUSTY THIS EVENING AND
  OVERNIGHT TONIGHT...AS A STRONG STORM SYSTEM APPROACHES FROM
  THE WEST. GUSTS COULD EXCEED 30 MPH AT TIMES THIS EVENING AND
  OVERNIGHT...ESPECIALLY NEAR THE SPRINGFIELD METRO.

  SHOWERS AND SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BEGIN TO MOVE INTO THE
  AREA FROM THE WEST THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT TONIGHT.
  NO SEVERE WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME WITH THIS ACTIVITY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

  THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE ONGOING TUESDAY MORNING EAST OF
  INTERSTATE 49. THERE IS A LIMITED RISK FOR AN ORGANIZED STORM
  OR TWO OVER SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI LATE TUESDAY MORNING. STORMS
  WILL EXIT THE EASTERN OZARKS BY TUESDAY AFTERNOON.

  SOUTHWESTERLY TO WESTERLY WINDS WILL INCREASE SUBSTANTIALLY
  TUESDAY FROM LATE MORNING THROUGH THE AFTERNOON HOURS...WITH
  GUSTS EXCEEDING 40 MPH IN SOME LOCATIONS. IN ADDITION...MUCH
  DRIER AIR WILL BUILD INTO THE AREA. THE COMBINATION OF VERY
  GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY WILL RESULT IN WIDESPREAD
  ELEVATED TO LOCALLY SIGNIFICANT FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS TUESDAY
  AFTERNOON.
