Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

 Limited snow risk.

DISCUSSION...

A brief period of light snow is expected late tonight into
Saturday morning. This snow will change back over to rain as
warmer temperatures spread into the area Saturday morning. Minor
snow accumulations will be possible on grassy and elevated
surfaces. Due to temperatures around freezing and warm ground, no
significant impacts are expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

An elevated fire weather risk will occur Sunday. Wind gusts up to
30 mph will be possible.

Additional thunderstorms will be possible late Sunday night
through Tuesday. Locally heavy rainfall of several inches may be
possible next week.

While most of the precipitation next week will be rain, a wintry
mix is possible late Tuesday or Wednesday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
