OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.
  EXTREME EXCESSIVE HEAT RISK.

DISCUSSION...

PROLONGED RECENT HEAT AND HUMIDITY WILL CONTINUE TODAY WITH
AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX VALUES OF 101 TO 108 DEGREES.

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER SOUTH CENTRAL
MISSOURI THIS AFTERNOON. A FRONT APPROACHING FROM THE NORTHWEST
MAY PRODUCE SOME ISOLATED STORMS LATE TONIGHT OVER PARTS OF
SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY WITH THE PASSAGE OF A COLD
FRONT. AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX VALUES FROM THE UPPER 90S TO NEAR 105
WILL BE CONFINED TO FAR SOUTHERN MISSOURI.

AFTER A PERIOD OF SOMEWHAT COOLER AND LESS HUMID
CONDITIONS...AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX VALUES IN THE MID AND UPPER 90S
WILL BE POSSIBLE SUNDAY AND MONDAY.

A FEW THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE LATE MONDAY.
