THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  LIMITED THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE RISK.
  ELEVATED LIGHTNING RISK.

DISCUSSION...

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE MAINLY ACROSS SOUTH
CENTRAL MISSOURI THIS AFTERNOON.

A COLD FRONT WILL BRING MORE WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
TO THE OUTLOOK AREA LATER THIS EVENING INTO SATURDAY MORNING.
LOCALLY STRONG TO POSSIBLY SEVERE STORMS MAY DEVELOP LATER THIS
EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS ACROSS SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND
FAR WESTERN MISSOURI...BUT THE OVERALL RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER IS
LIMITED.

THE BULK OF THE STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO IMPACT AREAS ALONG AND
WEST OF INTERSTATE 49 AFTER 9 PM...AND REACH THE HIGHWAY 65
CORRIDOR AFTER MIDNIGHT.

WHILE THE RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER IS LIMITED...ANY OF THE STRONGER
STORMS COULD PRODUCE FREQUENT LIGHTNING...WIND GUSTS TO 50 MPH...
AND HEAVY RAINFALL.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

THUNDERSTORMS WILL PERSIST INTO SATURDAY MORNING BUT WILL END
FROM THE WEST TO EAST DURING THE DAY AS THE COLD FRONT MOVES OUT
OF THE REGION. SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED.

THE CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL AGAIN RETURN DURING THE MIDDLE
AND LATER PART OF NEXT WEEK.
