OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.
  LIMITED EXCESSIVE HEAT RISK.

DISCUSSION...

  ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE THIS
  AFTERNOON OVER AREAS MAINLY ALONG AND EAST OF THE HIGHWAY 65
  CORRIDOR. SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED BUT WIND GUST TO
  40 MPH AND OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING COULD ACCOMPANY THE STRONGEST
  STORMS. MOST LOCATIONS WILL REMAIN DRY.

  A LIMITED EXCESSIVE HEAT RISK WITH HEAT INDEX VALUES IN THE
  MIDDLE 90S ACROSS PORTIONS OF CENTRAL MISSOURI WILL CONTINUE
  THROUGH SUNSET.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

  AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX VALUES COULD REACH THE MIDDLE 90S IN SOME
  AREAS BY THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. SOMEWHAT WARMER THAN NORMAL
  TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK.

  A FRONT WILL BRING A CHANCE FOR A FEW THUNDERSTORMS EARLY NEXT
  WEEK.
