THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.

DISCUSSION...

  ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE LATE
  TONIGHT...PRIMARILY ACROSS CENTRAL MISSOURI AND THE EASTERN
  OZARKS. SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT CURRENTLY EXPECTED WITH THIS
  ACTIVITY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

  WARMER CONDITIONS WILL SPREAD BACK INTO THE AREA ON
  WEDNESDAY AS TEMPERATURES WARM INTO THE UPPER 80S TO THE
  LOWER 90S. HEAT INDEX VALUES IN THE MIDDLE 90S TO NEAR 100
  DEGREES ARE EXPECTED WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.

  A FEW HIT AND MISS TYPE STORMS MAY OCCUR DURING THE DAY ON
  WEDNESDAY BUT MOST LOCATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN DRY.

  A COLD FRONT WILL THEN PUSH INTO CENTRAL KANSAS INTO NORTHERN
  MISSOURI THURSDAY INTO THURSDAY NIGHT. STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO
  DEVELOP ALONG THE FRONT AND MAY PUSH INTO PORTIONS OF CENTRAL
  MISSOURI THURSDAY AFTERNOON INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. THERE
  WILL BE A LIMITED RISK FOR DAMAGING WINDS AND PERHAPS SOME
  LARGE HAIL. OTHERWISE...FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND LOCALLY HEAVY
  RAINFALL WILL BE THE PRIMARY HAZARDS ACROSS CENTRAL MISSOURI.

  AFTERNOON HEAT INDICES IN THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 90S WILL REMAIN
  POSSIBLE SOUTH OF THE FRONT...ON THURSDAY.

  SCATTERED THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL THEN OCCUR AT TIMES FROM
  FRIDAY THROUGH THIS WEEKEND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK.
