THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  ELEVATED HAIL RISK.
  ELEVATED THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE RISK.
  LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.

DISCUSSION...

A COMPLEX OF STORMS MAY DEVELOP ACROSS EASTERN KANSAS LATER
TODAY AND TONIGHT AND MOVE SOUTHEAST INTO THE WESTERN HALF OF
THE AREA BY TONIGHT AND EARLY TOMORROW MORNING. A FEW STRONG TO
ISOLATED SEVERE STORMS MAY BE POSSIBLE WITH LARGE HAIL UP TO
THE SIZE OF QUARTERS AND DAMAGING WIND GUSTS UP TO 60 MPH WILL
BE THE MAIN THREAT TONIGHT INTO EARLY TOMORROW MORNING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

SEVERAL ROUNDS OF THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO AFFECT THE AREA
FROM TUESDAY THROUGH THE END OF THE WORKWEEK. CONFIDENCE IN
EXACT TIMING OF STORMS AND COVERAGE REMAINS LOW AT THIS TIME.

ALONG WITH FREQUENT LIGHTNING...LARGE HAIL APPEARS TO BE THE
MOST LIKELY SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FROM THUNDERSTORMS THIS WEEK.
WITH HIGH VALUES OF INSTABILITY AND COLD TEMPERATURES IN THE
MID LEVELS OF THE ATMOSPHERE...VERY LARGE HAIL MAY BE POSSIBLE
WITH SOME THUNDERSTORMS. IN ADDITION TO THE HAIL THREAT...GUSTY
WINDS AND A FEW TORNADOES WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE WITH THE
  ACTIVITY THIS WEEK.

IN ADDITION TO THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT...FLOODING MAY BECOME
A CONCERN BY THE MIDDLE AND END OF NEXT WEEK AS MULTIPLE ROUNDS
  OF RAIN AFFECT THE REGION.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NEEDED THROUGH TONIGHT.
