THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  ELEVATED ICE ACCUMULATION RISK.
  ELEVATED SNOW AND SLEET RISK.

DISCUSSION...

  AN AREA OF LIGHT SLEET...MIXED AT TIMES WITH SNOW AND
  RAIN...WILL CONTINUE TO PUSH EAST ACROSS SOUTHERN MISSOURI THIS
  AFTERNOON. SOME LIGHT ACCUMULATION IS POSSIBLE...ALONG WITH
  MINOR TRAVEL IMPACTS.

  A HEAVIER BAND OF SNOW...SLEET...AND SOME RAIN WILL THEN
  OVERSPREAD THE OUTLOOK AREA FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST
  LATE THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT. PRECIPITATION WILL
  TRANSITION TO PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE LATE TONIGHT.

  TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF ONE HALF INCH TO 2 INCHES ARE
  EXPECTED ALONG AND NORTH OF THE HIGHWAY 60 CORRIDOR. SLIGHTLY
  HIGHER AMOUNTS UP TO THREE INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE ALONG THE
  I-44 CORRIDOR EAST OF HIGHWAY 65. MINOR ACCUMULATIONS OF SLEET
  ARE ALSO POSSIBLE.

  AS THE HEAVIER PRECIPITATION ENDS LATE TONIGHT...AREAS OF
  FREEZING DRIZZLE ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP...ESPECIALLY NORTH OF
  HIGHWAY 60. A THIN GLAZE OF ICE IS POSSIBLE ON ELEVATED AND
  UNTREATED SURFACES.

  TRAVEL MAY BE IMPACTED OVER SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND SOUTHWESTERN
  MISSOURI THIS EVENING...AND LIKELY ACROSS THE ENTIRE OUTLOOK
  AREA THURSDAY MORNING.

  A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE THIS AFTERNOON
  THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

  THERE IS A LIMITED POTENTIAL FOR MORE PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE
  LATE THURSDAY NIGHT AND EARLY FRIDAY MORNING ACROSS CENTRAL
  MISSOURI.

  LIGHT SNOW WILL IMPACT FAR SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI FRIDAY NIGHT.
  ANY ACCUMULATION WOULD BE MINOR AND CONFINED TO AREAS SOUTHEAST
  OF BRANSON TO SALEM LINE.
