THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  LIMITED HAIL RISK.
  LIMITED THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE RISK.
  ELEVATED LIGHTNING RISK.
  LIMITED EXCESSIVE HEAT RISK.

DISCUSSION...

  WIDELY SCATTERED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE
  THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS MUCH OF THE MISSOURI OZARKS INTO EXTREME
  SOUTHEAST KANSAS AS THE ATMOSPHERE BECOMES INCREASINGLY
  UNSTABLE. THE THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL LINGER INTO THE EARLY
  EVENING HOURS. WIND GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH AND HAIL TO THE SIZE OF
  QUARTERS WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THE STRONGER STORMS.

  AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL REACH THE MID TO UPPER 90S IN
  PARTS OF THE MISSOURI OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

  SOME WIND GUSTS OVER 30 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE ON WEDNESDAY
  AFTERNOON OVER PARTS OF SOUTHWEST MISSOURI INTO EXTREME
  SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

  A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL BRING A GOOD CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS
  TO THE OUTLOOK AREA FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING INTO WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
  A FEW THUNDERSTORMS MAY THEN LINGER INTO THURSDAY MORNING ACROSS
  SOUTHERN MISSOURI.

  A FEW STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE AREA
  ON WEDNESDAY AS THE FRONT MOVES THROUGH THE REGION...WITH THE
  MAIN RISK HAIL TO THE SIZE OF QUARTERS AND DAMAGING WIND GUSTS.
