* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...SATURDAY AFTERNOON FOR SOUTHEASTERN
  KANSAS AND FAR WESTERN MISSOURI.

* TEMPERATURE...AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO REACH THE MID
  AND UPPER 90S WITH HEAT INDEX VALUES REACHING UP TO AROUND 105
  DEGREES.

* IMPACTS...HOT AND HUMID WEATHER CAN RESULT IN HEAT RELATED ILLNESSES
  IF PROPER PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN. THOSE WORKING
  OUTSIDE...CHILDREN...THE ELDERLY...AND THOSE WITHOUT ACCESS TO
  AIR CONDITIONING ARE PARTICULARLY SUSCEPTIBLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE EXTRA PRECAUTIONS IF YOU WORK OR SPEND TIME OUTSIDE. WHEN
POSSIBLE...RESCHEDULE STRENUOUS ACTIVITIES TO EARLY MORNING OR
EVENING. KNOW THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT
STROKE. WEAR LIGHT WEIGHT AND LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING WHEN
POSSIBLE AND DRINK PLENTY OF WATER.
