Survey Summary: A NWS storm survey found that an EF-1 tornado
briefly touched down about 2 miles south of Washburn in rural
Barry County near Farm Road 1055 and Farm Road 2265. A chicken
farm was destroyed and numerous trees were snapped or uprooted.
The path was approximately 1.5 miles long and width was
approximately 200 yards wide.

EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale Classifies Tornadoes into the
following categories.

EF0...Weak......65 to 85 mph
EF1...Weak......86 to 110 mph
EF2...Strong....111 to 135 mph
EF3...Strong....136 to 165 mph
