Significant rises are expected on the following river:

The Marmaton River at Fort Scott is expected to rise over the next few days.
Flood stage is 38.0 feet.  The latest stage was 17.1 feet at 9 PM Friday.
The river may rise to near 19.8 feet by 1 AM Sunday. People should be aware
of the latest river levels.

Do not drive through flowing water. Nearly half of all flood
fatalities are vehicle related. As little as 6 inches of water may
cause you to lose control of your vehicle. Two feet of water will
carry most vehicles away.
