HYDROLOGIC STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO
946 AM CDT WED MAY 18 2016


Significant rises are expected on the following river:

For the Roubidoux Creek Near Waynesville.  Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
The latest stage was 6.1 feet at 9 AM Wednesday. The river will
remain steady near 6.0 feet through this afternoon.

For the Marmaton River near Nevada.  Flood stage is 20.0 feet. The
latest stage was 19.3 feet at 9 AM Wednesday. The river is near crest
and will remain near 19.3 feet through early this afternoon.

Do not drive through flowing water. Nearly half of all flood
fatalities are vehicle related. As little as 6 inches of water may
cause you to lose control of your vehicle. Two feet of water will
carry most vehicles away.
