HYDROLOGIC STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO

Significant rises are expected on the following river:

For the Marmaton River near Nevada.  Flood stage is 20.0 feet. The
latest stage was 2.7 feet at 9 AM Sunday. The river may rise to near
19.1 feet by 12 AM Wednesday.

For the Sac River near Caplinger Mills.  Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
The latest stage was 5.4 feet at 9 AM Sunday. The river may rise to
near 15.1 feet by 6 PM Tuesday.

Do not drive through flowing water. Nearly half of all flood
fatalities are vehicle related. As little as 6 inches of water may
cause you to lose control of your vehicle. Two feet of water will
carry most vehicles away.
