QUIET BUT VERY COLD WEATHER OCCURRED ACROSS THE REGION THURSDAY
AFTERNOON AND EVENING. SOME CLOUDS LINGERED OVER THE SOUTHEAST
QUARTER OF MISSOURI INTO THE EVENING HOURS INCLUDING AREAS FROM
AROUND ROLLA SOUTH TO SALEM AND ALTON.

MID AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WERE WELL BELOW NORMAL WITH MOST AREAS
IN THE 20S. NORMAL AFTERNOON HIGH TEMPERATURES ARE IN THE UPPER
40S AND LOWER TO MIDDLE 50S AT THIS TIME OF YEAR.

THIS VERY COLD WEATHER WILL CONTINUE INTO FRIDAY AS WELL. WITH
PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES TONIGHT...OVERNIGHT LOWS WILL DROP INTO THE
SINGLE DIGITS ABOVE ZERO TONIGHT WITH WIND CHILLS IN THE ZERO TO 10 BELOW
RANGE. HIGHS ON FRIDAY WILL AGAIN ONLY BE IN THE LOWER TO MIDDLE
20S.

A GRADUAL MODEST WARMING TREND WILL BEGIN THIS WEEKEND. HOWEVER...A
MIX OF WINTRY PRECIPITATION IS ALSO EXPECTED.
