A QUIET DAY HAS BEEN OBSERVED ACROSS EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS
AND THE MISSOURI OZARKS. THIS MORNING...PATCHY FOG WAS OBSERVED
ACROSS CENTRAL MISSOURI...WHICH BURNED OFF QUICKLY AFTER SUNRISE.
UNDER A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS...HIGH TEMPERATURES THIS AFTERNOON
WARMED INTO THE MIDDLE 80S TO LOWER 90S. HEAT INDEX VALUES WERE
GENERALLY IN THE LOWER TO MIDDLE 90S...WITH THE WARMEST CONDITIONS
OBSERVED ACROSS EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS.

A FEW THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DEVELOP IN THE VICINITY OF THE MISSOURI
ARKANSAS STATE LINE LATE THIS AFTERNOON. AN ISOLATED SHOWER OR
STORM WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE FOR AREAS ADJACENT TO THE ARKANSAS
BORDER THROUGH SUNSET. LATER THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT
TONIGHT...WE WILL BE WATCHING FOR THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT OVER
NORTHEASTERN KANSAS AND NORTHERN MISSOURI. IF THIS ACTIVITY
DEVELOPS...IT WILL MOVE TO THE SOUTHEAST WITH TIME. AT THIS
TIME...IT APPEARS THAT THE BETTER CHANCES FOR RAIN WILL BE ACROSS
CENTRAL MISSOURI.

RAIN CHANCES WILL LINGER INTO TUESDAY MORNING...WITH HEAT
BEGINNING TO BUILD ACROSS THE AREA FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON ONWARD.
HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE WELL INTO THE 90S EACH DAY HEADING INTO
THE WEEKEND WITH HEAT INDEX VALUES BETWEEN 100 AND 105 EACH DAY.
