A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS WAS OBSERVED ACROSS THE AREA TODAY. THE
THICKEST CLOUD COVER WAS LOCATED OVER CENTRAL MISSOURI WHERE HIGH
TEMPERATURES THIS AFTERNOON WERE MAINLY IN THE 70S. FURTHER TO THE
SOUTHWEST...SUNSHINE RESULTED IN A SEASONABLY WARM AND MUGGY DAY
WITH HIGHS IN THE MIDDLE 80S TO LOWER 90S.

A BAND OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DEVELOPED JUST SOUTH OF
THE MISSOURI ARKANSAS STATE LINE THIS AFTERNOON. WHILE AN ISOLATED
SHOWER OR STORM CANNOT BE RULED OUT ACROSS FAR SOUTHERN MISSOURI
THROUGH THE EARLY EVENING HOURS...THE VAST MAJORITY OF THIS
ACTIVITY WILL STAY IN ARKANSAS AND MOVE TO THE SOUTHEAST. PARTLY
CLOUDY SKIES WILL PERSIST TONIGHT WITH OVERNIGHT LOWS IN THE 60S.
WILL NEED TO WATCH OUT FOR PATCHY FOG DEVELOPMENT IN VALLEYS AND
NEAR AREA LAKES.

MONDAY WILL FEATURE TYPICAL AUGUST WEATHER. UNDER A MAINLY SUNNY
SKY...HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 80S TO MIDDLE
90S. RAINFALL CHANCES WILL INCREASE MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY AS
A WEAK DISTURBANCE APPROACHES FROM THE WEST. OTHERWISE HOT AND DRY
WEATHER IS EXPECTED DURING THE REMAINDER OF THE UPCOMING WORK
WEEK. AS A MATTER OF FACT...TEMPERATURES COULD WARM INTO THE UPPER
90S BY THURSDAY AND FRIDAY.
