SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE HAS MOVED INTO THE REGION...DELIVERING A
COOLER AND DRIER AIRMASS TO THE REGION. UNDER A MAINLY CLEAR SKY
EARLY THIS MORNING...TEMPERATURES RANGE FROM THE LOWER 60S IN
CENTRAL MISSOURI TO THE MIDDLE AND UPPER 60S ACROSS THE REST OF
THE AREA.

FOR TODAY...EXPECT SUNNY SKIES...HIGHS IN THE 80S AND COMFORTABLE
HUMIDITY LEVELS. PLEASANT CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE TONIGHT WITH
LOWS IN THE 60S.

HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT MOVES BACK INTO THE AREA FOR FRIDAY AND
SATURDAY. THIS WILL RESULT IN A RETURN TO HOT AND HUMID
CONDITIONS. HIGHS WILL BE IN THE UPPER 80S TO MIDDLE 90S
FRIDAY...WITH HIGHS ON SATURDAY WELL INTO THE 90S AREA WIDE. HEAT
INDEX VALUES WILL RANGE FROM 100 TO 105 DEGREES ON SATURDAY.

THERE IS GOOD NEWS AS WE HEAD INTO THE LATTER PART OF THE WEEKEND.
A COLD FRONT WILL QUICKLY MOVE THROUGH THE AREA LATE SATURDAY
NIGHT AND SUNDAY. THIS WILL BRING A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS TO THE
AREA...AND MUCH COOLER TEMPERATURES FOR THE FIRST HALF OF NEXT
WEEK.
