IT WAS ANOTHER HOT AND MUGGY DAY ACROSS THE MISSOURI OZARKS AND
SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS. TEMPERATURES AT LATE AFTERNOON REMAINED IN
THE UPPER 90S TO NEAR 100 DEGREES WITH HEAT INDEX VALUES RANGING
FROM 98 TO 104 DEGREES UNDER MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES. SPRINGFIELD SET A
RECORD HIGH THIS AFTERNOON WITH A TEMPERATURE OF 100 DEGREES.

THE HEAT WILL CONTINUE THROUGH AT LEAST THE EARLY PORTION OF THE
COMING WORKWEEK...WITH HIGHS IN THE 90S TO AROUND 100 DEGREES EACH
AFTERNOON. A HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE AREA THROUGH
MONDAY AFTERNOON. RAIN CHANCES WILL REMAIN VERY LOW UNTIL AT
LEAST THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK.
