SEASONABLE TEMPERATURES OCCURRED OVERNIGHT INTO EARLY FRIDAY
MORNING...WITH LOWS DROPPING INTO THE 60S ACROSS THE REGION.

HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT MOVES BACK INTO THE AREA TODAY AND SATURDAY. THIS
WILL RESULT IN A RETURN TO HOT AND HUMID CONDITIONS. HIGHS WILL BE
IN THE UPPER 80S TO MIDDLE 90S TODAY...WITH HIGHS ON SATURDAY WELL
INTO THE 90S AREA WIDE. HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL RANGE FROM 100 TO
105 DEGREES ON SATURDAY. A HEAT ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR EXTREME
SOUTHEAST KANSAS INTO A PART OF WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI FOR THIS AFTERNOON.

THERE IS GOOD NEWS AS WE HEAD INTO THE LATTER PART OF THE WEEKEND.
A COLD FRONT WILL QUICKLY MOVE THROUGH THE AREA LATE SATURDAY
NIGHT AND SUNDAY. THIS WILL BRING A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS TO THE
AREA...AND MUCH COOLER TEMPERATURES FOR THE FIRST HALF OF NEXT
WEEK.
