LATE THIS AFTERNOON SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS...SOME OF
THEM STRONG TO SEVERE...WERE MOVING ACROSS SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS
AND CENTRAL MISSOURI. OTHERWISE...SKIES WERE PARTLY TO MOSTLY
CLOUDY ACROSS THE MISSOURI OZARKS. LATE AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES
HAD RISEN INTO THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 80S ACROSS THE AREA WITH A
MOIST SOUTHERLY WIND FLOW IN PLACE.

A TRANSITION TO AN ACTIVE WEATHER PATTERN IS ONGOING AS SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED THROUGH TONIGHT. THE BEST CHANCE
WILL BE IN AREAS NORTH AND WEST OF INTERSTATE 44. OVERNIGHT LOWS
TONIGHT ARE FORECAST IN THE UPPER 60S.

A COLD FRONT WILL PUSH THROUGH THE AREA ON THURSDAY WITH MORE STRONG
TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS LIKELY AHEAD OF THE FRONT. THIS FRONT WILL
THEN USHER IN MUCH COOLER WEATHER FOR FRIDAY WITH HIGHS ONLY IN THE
LOWER TO MIDDLE 60S ALONG WITH BLUSTERY NORTHWEST WINDS.
