CLOUDS REMAINED IN PLACE ACROSS THE MISSOURI OZARKS AND SOUTHEAST
KANSAS THROUGH MUCH OF THE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING. SOME
BREAKS IN THE LOW LEVEL CLOUD DECK WERE NOTED JUST BEFORE SUNSET
OVER THE JOPLIN AND PITTSBURG AREAS. HIGH TEMPERATURES REMAINED IN
THE LOWER 30S IN MANY AREAS DUE TO THE INUNDATION OF LOW LEVEL
CLOUDS...WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THOSE AREAS THAT CLEARED PRIOR TO
SUNSET.

THE LOWER CLOUD DECK WILL BE ON THE DECREASE OVERNIGHT...ALLOWING
FOR TEMPERATURES TO DROP RAPIDLY INTO THE 20S BY MID TO LATE EVENING.
HIGH CLOUDS ARE EXPECTED TO STREAM INTO MOST LOCATIONS
AROUND OR AFTER MIDNIGHT. WINDS WILL GENERALLY BE LIGHT OUT OF
THE NORTH OR NORTHWEST THROUGHOUT THE OVERNIGHT AS HIGH PRESSURE
MOVES OVER THE REGION.

FAIR WEATHER WILL PREVAIL INTO WEDNESDAY WITH CLOUDS INCREASING.
LIGHT SNOW OR A MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW IS EXPECTED TO IMPACT THE
REGION AS EARLY AT WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON OR EVENING FROM WEST TO
EAST. ANOTHER CHANCE OF LIGHT SNOW WILL ARRIVE FRIDAY NIGHT MAINLY
TO SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI. AT THIS TIME...ONLY MINOR AMOUNTS ARE
EXPECTED...BUT WE CANT RULE OUT SCATTERED TRAVEL
TROUBLES...ESPECIALLY THE MORNING COMMUTES ON BOTH THURSDAY AND
FRIDAY.
