REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY

501 AM CDT THU AUG 21 2014

AN UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE BROUGHT DRY CONDITIONS TO
THE REGION OVERNIGHT. MOST AREAS OF THE MISSOURI OZARKS AND
SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS SAW CLEAR SKIES. THE ONLY EXCEPTION WAS THE
FAR EASTERN MISSOURI OZARKS WHERE A FEW MID LEVEL CLOUDS DEVELOPED
DURING THE PREDAWN HOURS.

MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES AND HOT CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED FOR TODAY WITH
HIGHS ONCE AGAIN GETTING INTO THE 90S. BRISK SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST
WINDS ARE AGAIN EXPECTED DURING THE LATE MORNING AND AFTERNOON
HOURS.

HOT AND DRY WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL THEN PERSIST INTO EARLY NEXT
WEEK AS THAT UPPER LEVEL RIDGE REMAINS OVER THE REGION. HIGH
TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 90S WITH LOWS IN THE
LOWER TO MIDDLE 70S.
