...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL NEWTON AND
SOUTHERN JASPER COUNTIES THROUGH 730 PM CDT...

At 714 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
southeastern Joplin, moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Joplin, Carthage, Webb City, Oronogo, Carterville, Duquesne, Duenweg,
Leawood, Silver Creek, Alba, Purcell, Shoal Creek Drive, Saginaw,
Carytown, Fidelity, Grand Falls Plaza, Brooklyn Heights, Shoal Creek
Estates, Dennis Acres, and Cliff Village.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 44 between mile markers 7 and 18.
 Interstate 49 between mile markers 32 and 48.
