...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR EAST CENTRAL PHELPS COUNTY IS
CANCELLED...

The storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the warned
area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for south central
and east central Missouri.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 600 PM CDT
FOR SHANNON AND EASTERN DENT COUNTIES...

At 552 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Cherryville to Reynolds to 8 miles north of
Fremont, moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Law enforcement. This storm has a history of producing
         widespread wind damage including downing trees and removing
         roofs.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Current River State Park, Ozark National Scenic Riverways, Echo Bluff
State Park, Salem, Winona, Birch Tree, Eminence, Bunker, Montier,
Turtle, Howes Mill, Midridge, Gladden, Bangert, Alley Spring, Boss,
Howes, Round Spring, West Eminence, and Stone Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for south central
and east central Missouri.

This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are producing widespread
wind damage. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay
away from windows.
